Endovascular Laser for Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome?

My podiatrist is suggesting I have a vascular surgeon treat my Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome (TTS) with endovascular laser treatment (EVLT) to see if varicose veins are causing my TTS. My pod saw some veins on my MRI that looked like they might be larger than normal. I've been wearing compression socks with some, but limited, success. But when I talked to a vascular surgeon, he said EVLT would be a bad idea because the veins would become inflamed and hard when obliterated and cause more pressure in the area.

I’m a 46 yo male and I have no other health problems.
    What do you think?

    Thanks ahead.
