Mortons Neuroma & swelling

    I have recently been diagnosed with my second mortons neuroma in 15 months. This time I have an area of swelling on the top of my foot over where the neuroma is (2nd web space). I didn't have this with the first one. My physio says this is not normal and the radiographer who did the ultrasound advised me to get an x-ray to rule out a stress fracture at the same time. X-ray was normal.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    The neuroma is not big (only 3mm) so I am hoping to avoid surgery this time round with a bit of luck and management.
