Default Relief by sesamoid cortisone injection for how long?

I have a many years old injured foot with sesamoiditis. I have just received a cortisone injection into the joint of the tibial sesamoid at the great toe. How long (I realize varies from person to person) would one expect to get relief from this injection? Is it something that lasts a few days or weeks or months or ???

If in fact you obtain any positive results, it should commence very shortly after the injection. The length of time of relief varies, but as corticosteroids in this use do not cure, but act as anti-inflammatories, if and when the inflammation returns so will the symptoms.
