Other than through the use of effectively placed padding at all times whenever shoes are worn, there are only two ways of permanently ridding the feet of corns:

1. Remove or modify the irritant or compressive force on the toe (generally the toe box of the shoe).
2. Modify the toe by surgery to remove the offending portion of bone, or, in the case of hammertoe caused-corns, surgically straighten the toe.
