Most often when someone describes a lump in the area you indicate, it is the styloid process of the base of the 5th metatarsal, which is a natural occurring anatomical protrusion on everyone, but may be more prominent on narrow skinny feet. This area is not uncommonly irritated, but this may or may not be your problem. I find it curiously interesting though that you love to walk but that the pain is preventing you from enjoying life and you also have a bunion, but because you will have to pay what will likely be a nominal fee for at least an opinion as to what you have and what might be done for it, you are hesitant to go to a doctor. How many good and services which afford you less better living and probably cost at least as much as a doctor visit do you not hesitate to pay for although they too are not insured? We are not talking about needing to take out a second mortgage to get a doctor's opinion. Everyone makes choices as to how he/she will spend his/her expendable cash or even go into debt, but why would you choose to suffer and stop doing what you LOVE to do simply because you will have to pay a few out of pocket bucks? Is such expenditure and the pleasure it might bring to you so at the absolute end of your priorities? One day perhaps someone will actually give me a civil response rather than just lip and indignation to a reasonable question such as this. Maybe it will be YOU.
