I stubbed my toe quite hard and it hurt more than normal but I was able to walk without much problem for the rest of the day, it wasn't that noticable. About 10 hours later in the middle of the night I woke up and it was dully throbbing, felt sort of numb/stiff, and curling down felt like I was pulling a muscle and it was also a little difficult to do. The pain sort of radiated up the bone of the toe a bit. It doesn't appear swollen or bruised and I can move it side to side though.

I got up and hobbled to the bathroom because bending it up hurt a lot and took something exta strength, a few hours later I can walk on it again, but it still feels weird even with whatever aspirin -like pill I took. But I'm wondering what I've done to it.

    Hi,

Remember RICE is a good first-aid treatment for injuries like this
Rest - Try and stay off it
Ice - Apply covered ice for 20 minutes every 2 hours
Compression - Gentle pressure will dicourage swelling
    Elevation - Keep it up

And of course, if aspirin doesn't relieve the pain, go see a doctor or foot specialist.
