I have just been diagnosed after dealing with pain and a large swollen bump under my ankle bone on my right foot. Doc put me in a moon boot and gave me crutches. I am a Service Advisor for a busy car dealership and work on my feet all day and I am concerned with healing and being able to stay at work.

How many have been able to heal without surgery? What are the chances of it coming back at a later date?

I need some real life advice from people who have delt with this. Is better to get the surgery and get it over with?

I lead a very active life...2 kids, camping, cycling, etc...
