I have an 8 yr. old son who tells me his foot sometimes falls asleep when he doesn't move around for a period of time. It is not the same foot all the time and doesn't happen everyday but this can't be normal...can it?

I would think that unless it is clearly tied to positional pressure on a nerve such as when in a sitting in an abnormal position, it should be brought to the attention of his doctor for evaluation or referral.
