Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my foot. 3 months ago, I had surgery to remove a neuroma from my left foot. Now, I have a HUGE bump at the incision site and nothing makes it go away. I've tried anti-inflamatories, icing, elevation, staying off of it, cortisone injections. Last week I had an MRI done but won't get the results back until sometime next week. Any ideas of what it might be? Or anyone else had this?

    Thanks,

    KJ

I am unclear as to whether you are stating that the lump is part of the scar tissue of the healed skin incision or if it is within the internal structure of the foot. If it is deep inside the foot, it is possible that a postoperative hematoma had formed which is perhaps now calcified. But that is merely a wild guess and should not be taken as even a presumptive diagnosis. The fact is, though, that you should still be under the care of the attending surgeon if it's only 3 months since surgery. Have you not consulted him/her, and, if so, are you saying that this doctor has no idea what it might be?
