have a Swollen Ankle that wont go away. From the gym calf raises.
It is a lump half as big as my my ankle bone.
I did it 8 weeks ago. Physio has done nothing.
I got an ultra sound and they said it looks like a fibre tear that was definetly above the achillies (not a tear of the achillies).
Up until last week it felt solid. Since last week i have been working it in and applying hard pressure of an ice block.

Then this week it felt liquid like. So i popped it in a few spots with a pin, and got a large amount of clear puss similar to a blister.

I can now feel several pea size hard bits (the teared fibre). The lump has not really gone down a great deal with me removing the puss.

Any idea on what is best cure? Cut it out would be best... But will it soon go down now that the puss has gone naturally???

There is pain to squeeze and touch it. It does not hurt to run. A summary of it i would still say that it is inflamed, and after such a long time it should have started to settle down which it has not done as yet..

sorry i am not under doctors watch, i went to the dr's he recommended an ultrasound.
ultrasound people were of the opinion to just leave it for a few months. They were not that concerned and said dont operate on your ankle if you dont have to.
but i am concerned as i said it hasnt gone down. it doesnt hurt to run so i keep running on it, and with all the puss i think it still looks infected/inflammed.
and it still hurts to touch/squeeze it....
