I am seeing my specialist about bone fusion surgury after a injury i had 5 years ago when i fractured both my lisfranc and my calcanium and also did extensive damage to anke joint and toes, 2 years ago i had to have the pins removed due to foot getting infected witch also lead to having skin grafts for the wounds from the damage of the infection, over the last few months my foot has been getting infected and causing much more pain than normall and this has also shown that my bones are becoming less stable and the grafted skin keeps breaking causing other problems, I,m told that the fusion operation will give me a much better way of life and decrease the amount of problems i am having with my foot will this be the case or am i better off without the fusion operation?
