What seems to be an infection under my toe

it's right below my pinky toe. i believe i got something in it but it was so small and in a position that i never noticed until a bump formed. i still didn't try to open it up and see if i could find anything til a few weeks ago where i got a couple very tiny black pieces out. i couldn't find anything else and hoped it would heal but it's back to looking pretty much how it did. it doesn't seem to be getting worse but i have had it over a couple months now and am worried. pushing down on it is a litle painful but nothing life threatening. i can't see a doctor and am hoping i can get some advice on something to pick up at the drug store to cure it.
