    hi,

my 10 yr old just yesterday started having sharp pain on the bottom of his toes of only his right foot.

slight swelling and redness but very painful to the touch across all 5 toes.
the pain is localized only to the bottom of his toes, not anywhere else on his foot.

he has started soccer 5 weeks ago, but the pain began mid-day at school (soccer is only in the afternoons). He says his cleats fit fine and he wore them last season w/out problem.

we soaked in epsom salts, applied 1% cortizone cream last night then wrapped his toes in first-aid padded tape this morning.

really at a loss for what is causing this. ideas?

    -thx
