    Hi there.
boyfriend broke big toe in joint. went to ER and they taped it and not much else.
It has been three months and the toe is crooked and still swollen and obviously did not heal correctly.

Does anyone know how much surgery will be to have him re-break his toe and put a rod in it?
Does he just need it rebroken and then reset it?

We don't have much money- if at all- so we're trying to get it fixed.

    Thanks!

If the bone has healed and is not in line, and if that mal-alignment is causing problems, it would seem that a surgical fracturing (osteotomy) and realignment would be considered. That should not take a great deal of surgery, but that's a matter of YOUR perception, not mine. Minor surgery has be said to be surgery performed on someone else. How much it will cost, is something for which you will have to consult your own doctor.
