I fractured my femur at the knee and since I have osteoporosis doctor said no weight on leg for 3 months. Started putting weight on leg 2 weeks ago and foot has been very sore. Have heel pain when I put weight on it. Also side of the heel on the inside of the foot very sore to the touch. Just started yesterday using a splint to strech plantar fascia.
What else can I do? Will massage help the tendons? Soaking with Epsom salt didn't seem to help. What about heat?

If you have plantar fasciitis there is probably little that you are going to be able to do for it while you are bearing more than its share of your body weight on that foot.
