    Hi

I am from UAE working in a company where my job is mostly office work at my work station. Since last three days, I have been noticing a continuous feeling of numbness on top of my right foot that tapers off to my lower leg. It does not hurt at all nor does it affect me in any way. Its just a faint and rather odd sensation as if my foot is sleeping (no pain or tingling at all) especially when I press it. The previous day I got a massage on my legs; I wonder if the resulting compression could be a reason. I've still not seen the doctor as per my busy schedule.

Will appreciate any advice on any self-remedy for this.

Areas of numbness are typically related to nerve pathology at or proximal to the site of symptoms. So if a portion of the leg is included in the numbness, the source of the problem would likely be at the level of the leg or above. Whether or not your massage had anything to do with this is a possibility but total speculation without more definitive evidence. Nerve problems especially are not conditions which you want to treat yourself, as definitive treatment in a timely manner may be of the essence. See a specialist.
