I got hurt playing soccer about 6 weeks ago and when I was hurt it felt like my foot went two directions, front part of foot went left and back of foot went right in a very fast motion. Right after that I couldn't put any weight on my foot. For the past 6 weeks I havent been able to run on my foot or still put weight on it and its bruised and has a lump on the side. This pic will give you an idea of where the lump and bruse are located.

My injury is on the opposite side of the foot and its in the area of number12. Any suggestions? I would go to the dr. but it would cost me alot of money due to my medical insurance at this time but if I wait until Jan 1 when I switch my plan i will be covered. Thanks for any info.

The photo you reference does not display, but from my interpretation of the sort of word description which you gave, I would certainly think that a Lisfranc injury might be a possibility. But that is absolutely not something that I can offer as anything more than a good reason for you to seek professional evaluation at once. I think that you have been very unwise to have traded ependiture of your own money for possibly long term problems, having inordinately delayed at the very least an evaluation to have assessed the need or absence of need for immediate care, and that you would certainly be even more foolish to wait an additional 2 1/2 months for insurance. I would suggest that it just ain't worth the risk to save the bucks, as time may be of the essence.
