Hi, I have had a growth on my big toe for a number of years now, it started off small and has gotten bigger as time went on. I left it as it didn't really effect me, but now I'm starting to wish I didn't have it. I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is and how to get rid of it.

There is an image of it here: http://i40.tinypic.com/2ue7mab.jpg

    Thanks for your help.

Although with a hands-on examination a visual diagnosis could probably easily be made, the quality of the picture makes only a guess possible. From what I can see, I would tend to guess that it is probably a wart showing some degree of irritation. Of course, the appropriate treatment and prognosis would be dependent upon a verifiable diagnosis. I would definitely recommend you see a podiatrist or other qualified doctor for definitive help with this problem and not attempt self-treatment.
