Default Bunionectomy Surgery

I had a bunion removed and the metatarsal realigned in October; in December a second surgery was required to remove the staple and screw which I had allergic reactions to. Now 4 weeks later my big toe and adjacent toe are still quite swollen and stiff. Any ideas what is going on? Thank you.

Have you not gotten a opinion regarding this question from the doctor who did the procedure and knows you? How can you alternatively possibly expect anyone who has never seen or examined you to have any substantive ideas as to what is actually going on? Surgeries always have post-operative consequence which can be generally characterized to include:
1. Normally expected untoward sequelae commensurate with the type of surgery performed
2. Random complications, including but not limited to allergic reaction, infection, etc.
3. Untoward events resultant from either the improper actions of or complicating medical issues of the patient.
4. Poor performance of the procedure
