Burning feet and swelling of feet

Elderley woman with arthritis of 76 has continuous pain and heat coming out from top of both of her feet. Feels hot to touch..why is this and what can be done to alleviate this. No specific diagnosis has been made..not diabetic. Thanks

What is needed IS a specific diagnosis. That cannot be obtained through a forum where an examination and the required diagnostic process is not possible.
