Foot smell/Sole Deterioration
Hi all, I just found this site today, and haven't been able to find a solution anywhere else online.
The soles of my feet don't necessarily sweat excessively, but they sweat if I wear any kind of socks and/or shoes. This has been going on for 5 years. After a day of walking in sneakers and socks, my feet, socks, and sneakers smell putrid. The skin on the soles of my feet becomes white and pockmarked on all contact points, beginning with the balls, then the sides and heels, and occasionally the toes, but just on the bottom. I have been able to reduce the sweating and resulting skin deterioration by changing socks and shoes every few hours, washing my feet, applying foot aerosol powder and liberally using Arrid Extra Extra Dry, but any longer than that the sweat overcomes it. At night I use a pumice stone after soaking them in warm water, but I have difficulty getting the skin off. If I don't change my shoes/socks all day, my socks are wet with a yellowish liquid from the bottom of my feet, and it dyes my white socks that color. Is there anything else I can do, and does anyone know what exactly this would be called? I can't find anything like it online, the best way I can describe is that at the end of the day my soles look like a piece of bread, only a pale yellow color.
Thanks!
