I have a very high arch on my feet. It's quite curvy compared to most girls. My feet is quite huge, size 9 at 5ft6. People commented that the structure of my feet is quite stable.
However, these days it seems that the arch on my feet gets painful when I walk. It usually happens when I sit too long and as I get up to walk, it hurts a lot. This pain has been quite a while already, about a month.
I've never experienced such a thing before. I did athletics in my high school and long distance jogging once in a while. I'm not overweight, my Body Mass Index (BMI) is at the borderline of being normal.
Does everyone knows what does this mean? It would be helpful if I seek for advice here before going to the doctor.
I have no clue as to why you have foot pain, other than for the fact that you have very high arches. The exceptionally high-arched foot is generally problematic, and as you have not offered any other basis for your complaint, perhaps that should be looked into.
I've also noticed that apart from that, there's one particular point below my feet that is painful. It's just right above the heels, around the arch and there seems to be a bone there. Both of my feet are affected
When I sit too long, the pain starts to build up and it's like a stinging pain. But when I get up and walk, the pain relieves.
I do have that problem about one month ago but it was not very severe, just a minimal ache. But it seems like it's getting serious.
I've tried applying muscle pull creams such as Voltaren as I suspect that it could be just a muscle pull.
I'm actually quite a fast walker, my friends suggested that it could be that I walk too fast which caused my feet to sore.
Oh another thing is that I do not wear heels at all....rarely except for special occasions. Most of the time I wear my walking Nike shoes or flat slippers
A diagnosis, which is a requirement for treatment advice, cannot be obtained in this fashion, and, with but a few exceptions, in forums in general. Go see a good podiatrist for a hands-on evaluation. Be sure to bring with you a cogent and chronological story of your problem.
