Default Stage III Hallux Limitus

What implant would you use (hemi such as Biopro or total such as Futura Classic Great Toe implant) in a 55 year old female runner/sprinter? She has spurring and joint narrowing crepitus to ROM. She would like to continue running.

Concern about total in a runner is break down of implant. Concern about hemi is function with running. I know both are acceptable. I want to see what the forum has to say about this topic.

I am not a big fan of implants in hallux valgus surgery, and I certainly would not look favorably upon having a patient in which I might elect to place such an implant continuing to engage in an activity which can be nothing but harmful to it.
