physio after surgery

    Can you tell me if you generally refer patients to physio after PTT repair for tears along with a calcaneal osteotomy. It seems some patient do physio, some don't. What factors do you consider? Age, general overall fitness? Is there things that physio would accomplish that a person doing ROM and stretching and just walking again on their own at home can't accomplish?

    Probably not . . assuming that the doctor has given adequate instructions for the individual case and the patient is capable of and conscientious in following them. Much of physical therapy does not necessarily require a professional to administer. Some patient-administered physical therapy is generally appropriate after just about all orthopedic surgeries.

    Doc my question is after surgery,it can be possible a cancer patient to alive for long time.

    I have no special expertise in the treatment or prognosis of malignancies. Check with an oncologist.
