    Hi

I have an infection in my left toenail. The pain started last night and I was not able to sleep well because of this. I had this before but the pain is much more now. There is a red line formation from the toe to my ankle, or so it seems. I'm not sure what it is, but it's painful to touch. Is this the vein connected to my toe? I can't go to the doctor yet, maybe tomorrow ... is this red thing formation normal? i'm getting really scared. Have had ingrown infection before but not this...
any info would be much appreciated.thanks

You had best get yourself to a doctor or an ER immediately. Red streaking could be a sign of imminent or existing septicemia. If that is the case, it may be critical that treatment be begun at once. Delay could be disastrous.
