The floor of my home is tiled with ceramic tiles, and I usually wear bedroom slippers to walk around. However, my slippers are worn out and I stopped using them for about four months now. Can this be causing my callus? (it's on the ball of my foot)

I cannot see that ceramic tiles could produce even the type of callouses that are occasioned on the hands by laborers. The typical painful callouses seen by podiatrist are foot-caused and not surface-caused problems.
