Ankle Pain/Extra Tissue between the Navicular and another bone

    I have been seeing a podiatrist now for about two months. At first he saw my problem as being a sprain but after two cortisone shots and lots of rest it is not getting any better. Today my doctor took a closer look and saw what he thinks is an excess of tissue connecting my navicular bone to one of the other tarsal bones. Have you heard of this? He said he did surgery on someone last week for it and I was interested in the recovery time, etc. for such surgery. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
