How seriously should I take a possible stress fracture

I'm starting to think I might have fractured a bone in my foot, either a metatarsal or cuboid. I've stopped running on it, but I've carried on walking around like normal even though it sometimes hurts to walk normally. I don't know how seriously to take it. Getting xrays or mri isn't easy in th UK and I don't want to waste my and the doctor's time if it will get better on its own in time. It's been about a week and a half since it happened and hasn't really got any better but no worse either. Shall I bother seeing a doctor?

    Thank you.
