On the bottom of my big toe, I have a small spot that itches deep down inside my toe. Just scratching my toe with my fingers does no good at all. The only way to relieve the itch is to rub my bare toe against the carpet with some pressure.

I do not have any type of visible bump or swelling on the bottom of my toe but it is a distinct area of my toe that itches. I have been having this problem for about two weeks now and the itch is pretty much always there, it just catches my attention more at times than others.

I have not changed my normal footwear over the last few weeks and I rarely wear tight shoes. I have no other foot problems, my feet do not sweat, no athletes foot problems, etc.

Any ideas for relieving this crazy itch?

Has anyone had a diagnosis for this?? Anything that helps? I struggle with this, but mine is also tender as hell. I cant itch it with my finger because it hurts, I have to use pressure to itch it.

Mine too and the bare foot carpet rub seems to be the only thing that helps.
