Out of the blue my left big toe started itching about 3 days ago. It feels like bees or red ants are inside it stinging and biting me. It began at the top of my toe and over the next three days it's travelled down to include the fleshy part of my foot. The episodes range from very bad to where I'm crying out and screaming for relief. If I take a norco it helps a bit and I can get a couple hours sleep but after those peaceful hours it comes back with a vengeance. For those of you that have this condition, does it ever go away? Even for a few days or weeks? I'm at the point where I cannot leave the house or concentrate on bills, etc. If I soak it in ice water it becomes slightly bearable but I'm praying I get some relief to continue my normal life. Thank you for any help or advice.

Typically this is due to either eczema or tinea

if the itching is on the bottom of your feet and follows a line along the inside arch of your foot, then it is tarsal tunnel syndrome, specifically, compression of your medial plantar nerve.

I used full strength bleach and it helped a lot. I try to remember to put it on with a Q-tip or cotton ball after I bathe or shower. Let it dry for a few minutes or put a sock on it. Keep after it until it is gone.
