Romoved Callus skin to find holes?

    Excuse the quality of the picture, but I decided that it was time to remove a callus and bought some Salicylic based gel to remove the tough skin.
    After removing the skin, I found these...

    They're just little holes. I don't know what they are. Anybody know?
