I broke my 4th and 5th toe on my left foot last year. After I started playing volleyball again, my toes would fall asleep (bother) me. I don't know if it's nerve damage or not. What should I do? Is their any way I can fix it? If so, please contact pthomas@clthomas.com

  4. My X-ray showed 2 broken bones. They did a CAT scan to rule out a LisFranc fracture and picked up many more tiny fractures. There are 26 bones in a foot

I broke all four toes a few months ago, all four turned black and blue and swelled as well. I bought a "boot" on Amazon, and wore for a month and I was in a wheel chair for a month also. They said 8 weeks to heal, It took me 3 months. I still have some numbness - nerves take awhile to mend apparently. I broke a toe a few years ago and it took a year to totally mend - i.e. I could bend it along with other toes and have some feeling back.
I also think it takes longer to heal the older you are. I started walking on a track, 5 laps a day and I find it helps circulation. I also had to buy two sizes for shoes. I have a foot bubble machine, fill with Epson salts for soaking is a bonus! My toes are still a bit swollen compared to other foot, even after several months, but I know from past experience, it will take a long time to totally heal. Hang in there, if my toes made it through a horrible accident, you can too! Good luck!

Hey guys, curious if y'all have ever had any pain in your pinky toe mainly following post surgery. I had a jones fracture and had a screw put in to repair it. Now though it seems I'm having sharp pain in my pinky toe when it moves, almost like squeezing a pressure point.

I've done it to my foot and am having the symptoms you were having, I got a letter after having an x ray from the hospital and they say I have to wear a boot, I have been given codeine to take the edge off but they just make me put more weight on it than I would without. And now the number toes, I haven't been taking it easy as I have kids that need me, I don't live with them but I go see them every day, I think I might have to just not go round for a few days and rest it. I thought it would be alright but rest I think is the answer. I'm glad yours got better it gives me hope. I'll tell you how I did it, I was picking my daughter up from school and I stepped up and walked along a raised tree surround like a 16 year old and stepped of the other end not giving it a second thought until I was on the floor after a loud snapping sound, my leg and foot had gone sideways and the pain was immense im 37 not 16, I got up and ouch it hurt badly, luckily I had my bike with me so I rode home with my daughter. I left it a week and a half before going to the GP but I wish I'd gone sooner now, I hope there is no permanent damage.

I still have swelling and still not comfortable to bare weight even with boot
Does this sound similar to your situation
