Why traction of upper ankle joint caused pain and soreness reaction?

    I was done ankle mobilization (traction of upper ankle joint) by a trainee in a podiatry clinic. My lateral ankle capsule and lateral instep in front of it got clearly painful and sore after that. Not right away but starting on my way home from the clinic.
    It´s been already three months after this, but especially ankle capsule gets still sore. My physiotherapist said that it´s soft tissue...
